nothing made sense when I read it. and when I reviewed the actual National geographic article, it still didn;t.
Homo naledi To recap spelunkers found a shaft and human bones at the bottom. enter our modern Indiana Jones, who used the internet to hire women small enough to go inside the chamber. they brought up bones..about 1500 pieces recently another part of the cave revealed 2 more bones. one a finger bone. He then openly had various students, etc, separate bones in groups cranial fragment leg bones etc They claim 15 individuals. then they formed a "composite." Homo naledi was born. National Geographic shows him taking his studies to a conference, one of the Leakeys ..the family that found Lucy.. is there. if this is an original researcher or a descendant is not made clear.I haven;t followed the RIft finds for years. Because of a scientific fact. Lucy has been debunked She was partially made up from bones from another area, probably baboon. oh my. They cannot date the South African finds..not the same profiles as the Rift Valley. I'm sure they will come up with a method, but like everything else, no actual scientists or anthropologists need apply. They can't figure out how people found their way to that shaft to "bury" their dead Threw em down a shaft, SO small only small people in Superman position, one arm tucked one out in front can find their way down. They ASSUME there is or was another entrance as there is no evidence of torches. Most of the bones were simply laying on the surface of the bottom of the shaft..but 2-3 million years is assumed.no way apparently to date them. Not in a pile, mind you. which one would think would happen if infants women and men were thrown down a shaft over some period of time. this reeks of sensationalism. Of a lack of modern scientific methods. They now claim they are apelike above human below that they had grasping hands but walked upright. which is ...weird, The National Geographic is all over this. no mention of the problems with the Leakey's finds. no mention of actual anthropologists trying to arrange the bones into actual individuals. Just more proof of "evolution." with no way to date the finds no mention of relationship to modern humans. but just take the word of our intrepid modern Indiana Jones, He's sure making bank on it. |
