in the midst of the Kavanaugh debate, I came across an astounding post.
"my wife had an ectopic pregnancy and no one told us we could transplant it to my wife's womb." so now this christian couple thinks they just aborted. their baby. And that advanced medical teams could have saved this baby. and that it would be OK to expose his wife to more risk for an experimental procedure.( if one in fact existed) http://www.pregnancystatistics.org/content/ectopic-pregnancy-statistics.html 1 in 60 pregnancies is ectopic. (growing in the abdomen not the uterus often in the Fallopian tube).the few.. a handful of cases, that have survived to birth, are medical anomalies. ones that end in life, not death. It is not a rare condition, and one successfully treated by surgery to remove the embryo and often results in losing the Fallopian tube. Is it right to let a woman bleed to death to prove you are against abortion? Spreading lies about magical medical procedures, is as evil as promoting the abortion of healthy pregnancies Speaking of which, if Roe v Wade is revisited, what is the likely result? State legislators will take over determining what should be legal, what rules should be ..in their state. State medical boards are involved. In other words, it's a medical procedure and governed by the state Where it was before Rose v Wade and deserves to return. While we revisit the decision...does anyone actually read the whole decision, or just scream Roe v Wade? "To summarize and to repeat: 1. A state criminal abortion statute of the current Texas type, that excepts from criminality only a lifesaving procedure on behalf of the mother, without regard to pregnancy stage and without recognition of the other interests involved, is violative of the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. (a) For the stage prior to approximately the end of the first trimester, the abortion decision and its effectuation must be left to the medical judgment of the pregnant woman's attending physician. (b) For the stage subsequent to approximately the end of the first trimester, the State, in promoting its interest in the health of the mother, may, if it chooses, regulate the abortion procedure in ways that are reasonably related to maternal health. (c) For the stage subsequent to viability, the State in promoting its interest in the potentiality of human life may, if it chooses, regulate, and even proscribe, abortion except where it is necessary, in appropriate medical judgment, for the preservation of the life or health of the mother. 2. The State may define the term "physician," as it has been employed in the preceding paragraphs of this Part XI of this opinion, to mean only a physician currently licensed by the State, and may proscribe any abortion by a person who is not a physician as so defined. " Roe v Wade did NOT support late term abortion. It did NOT support turning abortion over to non physicians ( being done in some places..especially with the "abortion pill." ) If we remove the fantasy that carrying a baby to term or near term and then killing it, for convenience,is a good in any sense ...perhaps we can start to put thing in perspective. Boys and girls in our secular society are told all about their rights and not their responsibilities, having sex without protection should be viewed as stupidity, instead of shrugging our shoulders and saying,, get an abortion. It's not 100 percent safe, nor should it be necessary. if we returned sex ed to actual information instead of an anti bullying campaign, if we made sure girls had access to safe contraception, before they need it. and that condoms were such a necessary part of sex no one would do anything without one... including lgbt kids...if we didn;t make a virtue of women.. grown women, who have had multiple abortions and if we didn;t make pregnancy the only problem, the only nail, and abortion the hammer, if we took our responsibility back into our hands, If we did that, abortion clinics would close for lack of business. for believers, more facts. If you have multiple partners, you risk HPV Chlamydia, etc and a higher chance of an ectopic pregnancy, so limited sexual expression until you are ready to marry and have children is warranted. yup, I said ..celibacy and virginity have value. Heartbeat bills. are an attempt to put the fetus first Stopping doctors from performing necessary surgery to save a woman;s life... is also wrong. We still don;t know very much about reproduction, as a society. any lie can spring up, well intentioned or not. We didn;t have in depth procedures for viewing fetuses at even a few days to weeks..Now we do, My goodness, animal breeders are overjoyed with every little round growing sack, inside their animals, even before structures can be visualized. Babies are not just a clump of cells... that's the first couple of DAYS before you even know there is a pregnancy. Are children all wanted and no abuse in our society? another lie told by early proponents of abortion on demand. So without abortion, we get situations as in Pakistan over 300 babies found dumped. 99 percent girls.Yet living in the UK, it is a group known to abort only baby girls ( not legal.but a continuing practice) In what world is killing only girl children ... a good thing? We must educate ourselves about sex. it is a process meant for reproduction, co-opted by humans strictly for pleasure. This is not wrong, but the evidence of increased STD rates , abortion ( though it is lower in younger women,I think because of Obamacare, going to your doctor for contraception instead of Planned Parenthood has had some good results) increased agitation about what constitutes sexual assault,, the rise of the sex slave trade, which we ignored ...we made fun of girls in massage parlors, and refused to believe children could be trafficked.Or boys, what horrors in that..pornography as a society wide standard, yes even Christians you know better, .get help. do not contribute to this vile industry. Keeping your sanity and sense of morality in this climate is hard, Don;t add lies to it. |
